Hotel Reivew
Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Metropolitan was our choice of hotel during our trip to Manhattan because of the convenient location. We were able to walk to all of our major destinations including Times Square and Rockfellar Center.
Appearance
Doubletree by Hilton is a nice looking modern hotel. Everything looks sleek and new. It's a great basic hotel for anyone looking to have easy access to all the best sightseeing attractions in Manhattan.
Amenities
We received a delicious chocolate chip cookie upon arrival; this was a nice treat.
There is a restaurant and lounge available on site. Unfortunately, we did not have a chance to test either of these out. However, there are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance.
I would have liked a pool or hot tub, but neither was available. However, there was a fitness center available for guest use.
Promotional Offer
Price
We paid about $150 for a night in this hotel, which wasn't bad considering the prime location in the city. The one negative was the high price for parking - it was around $40! Check the website for promotions and special room packages.
Room
The room was basic but provided all of the necessities. Everything was modern including the furniture and decor. The bed was very comfortable; I definitely felt like I woke up feeling refreshed.
Final Remarks
Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Metropolitan was a great place for our 1 night stay in New York. If I was to go on a longer trip, I would probably prefer a hotel in Times Square (love that area).
Even though Doubletree does not offer a lot of amenities, it is a great choice for those looking for a hotel with a great location at an affordable price.
