Springdale is a cute small town located just minutes from Zion National Park. Besides Zion Lodge (the only accommodation available within the park), there are a handful of lodging options around Springdale.

From budget no frills motels to more luxurious accommodations, Springdale has a little something for every budget.

The Majestic View Lodge is a great mid-range option. Located just 3 miles from the entrance, it offers a quiet setting and more affordable rates than properties closer to the entrance.

The property sits on a biG hill with gorgeous views from the on-site restaurant (Arkansas Al's), the pool area, and from the balcony of each hotel room.

The affordable rates, attractive rustic setting, and easy access to Zion make it a good choice for a budget friendly, yet still comfortable and convenient, getaway.

Appearance

Majestic View feels a bit like a motel when you first pull up. The rooms are not attached to the main lobby, so you will have to drive to check in, then drive to your hotel room. It's a bit inconvenient to walk outside to get to the restaurant or lobby, especially during a cold winter visit.

Not a big fan of outdoor entry hotels as they seem more like motels, however, the the rates are affordable and the property is pretty clean and quiet.

Despite the setbacks, you likely are going to be spending most of your time exploring gorgeous Zion, and will simply want a clean, quiet place to come back to, which is exactly what you will find at the Majestic Lodge.

Amenities

In terms of amenities, Majestic offers an on-site restaurant, a year round pool area with hot tub, a small wildlife museum, free wi-fi, and a seasonal shuttle.

Coffee in the morning in the lobby or a coffee shop on-site would have been nice. Your best bet is to check out Deep Creek Coffee in town, offering amazing espresso drinks, along with an an even more amazing view!

Arkansas Al's Steakhouse is a rustic restaurant located next to the lobby, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Winter hours are severely limited (closing around 8 each night).

Breakfast and lunch are the best time to visit, so you can absorb the wonderful views from the dining room's massive windows. The food was pretty decent, although service was extremely slow due to having a shortage of waitstaff. Still worth it for the convenience and breathtaking views, not to mention the 10% off discount you receive when booking the room.

The pool area is very nice with fantastic views of the red rocks. A relaxing soak in the hot tub is the perfect treat after a long day on the trails (the water is actually hot, not lukewarm bath water as is the case in many hotels).

While most hotels in Springdale only open pools seasonally, Majestic keeps theirs open year-round, so you can still enjoy a much needed soak after a cold winter hike!

Price

During the off-season, you can find rates for under $100 per night. This is a real steal considering you have easy access to one of the most gorgeous parks in the country. For a clean hotel with decent amenities and a nice on-site restaurant, I'd say it's a pretty good deal for the area.

Room

The rooms at Majestic are a bit small, yet decorated very nicely in a charming rustic theme. The highlight is the individual patio with gorgeous views of the red rocks. Every room has a great view as they all face the beautiful rock formations.

The highway noise is a bit distracting when sitting out on the deck, however, it's a small price to pay for such wonderful views.

A coffee maker, complete with organic coffee, and organic bathroom products are a few nice natural alternatives you will receive.

Final Remarks

For the affordability, nice year-round pool area, attractive rustic theme, and close distance to the park, I would recommend Majestic View Lodge.

A comfortable place to come back to each night (with the added perks of a relaxing hot tub and great breakfast restaurant), Majestic has just about everything you need for a relaxing weekend escape to Zion National Park.
