Hotel Reivew
AmericInn Sidney Nebraska was a great stop on our road trip from Idaho to Chicago. The hotel is conveniently located right off I-80 which makes it a great overnight stop choice for the traveler looking for a nicer than average road stop motel.
This hotel was better than your average 2 star hotel and offered plenty of great amenities. Update: The hotel is now called Best Western Plus Sidney Lodge.
Appearance
Best Western Plus Sidney Lodge is a comfortable, clean choice for anyone needing a cross country resting stop. The hotel looked great both inside and out. It had a nice rustic mountain theme. The lobby was decorated beautifully for the holidays. We enjoyed relaxing by the fireplace while shipping hot chocolate and playing a game of checkers.
Amenities
Amenities included a free breakfast, free WiFi, an indoor pool, a hot tub, and a fitness center.
The breakfast was decent and included an assortment of items including cereals, fruits, scrambled eggs, orange juice, coffee, and more. I enjoyed the rustic look to the dining area.
Perkins Restaurant (a family dining restaurant) is located within walking distance from the hotel. If you show your room key you will get a 10% discount off your bill.

Price
We paid around $115 for one night which wasn't bad considering the amenities offered and the beautiful decor in the lobby which we probably would not have found at a cheaper motel.
Room
The room was simply decorated. Modern convenience such as a coffee maker, microwave, and fridge were included. There was a small flat screen TV. You can also pay extra for a room with a fireplace if you want a cozier winter setting.
Final Remarks
AmericInn in Sidney is better than your average road trip hotel. Great amenities, great decor, and great service are all provided. If you are a fan of Cabela's, you are in luck because it is located within walking distance of the hotel.
