Main Photo

Flat Iron Cafe does not look like much from the outside (it is housed in a historic building from the late 1800s that was originally used as a tobacco & candy store), however, the food quality, service, and menu choices were terrific!

We were simply looking for a delicious hearty breakfast in town while visiting for the week, and we sure found it at the Flat Iron!

Food

I was pleased with the variety, quality, and prices of options on the menu. I ordered from the "Make your own Omelet" section. I went with a onion and broccoli version which was served with home fries and Rye Bread. Everything was delicious and very filling!

Mike had a breakfast burrito which consisted of a tortilla stuffed with scrambled eggs, jack cheese, and salsa. He has ordered a lot of breakfast burritos and decided this one of the best yet. The best part of all was that it was priced at least 50% lower than any others we have seen - only $4!

Service

Our waitress was friendly and seemed happy with her job, which always starts out the dining experience on a positive note.

Atmosphere

The restaurant is much bigger inside than it appears from outside. There are a few unique touches like a train that goes around the ceiling and a blackboard that advertises the daily specials.

Final Remarks

Flat Iron Cafe will satisfy anyone looking for an affordable meal in a comfortable setting. Good food offered at a fair price by a friendly waitress would sum up our morning experience at Flat Iron.
