LeLu Coffee Lounge
LeLu Coffee Lounge, just a short drive from beautiful Siesta Key Beach, is the perfect way to start your day in Sarasota. Whether enjoying a great cup of coffee before your beach day or relaxing with an Espresso drink after a long, exhausting day in the sun, a trip to LeLu is sure to leave you feeling rejuvenated and relaxed.
The laid-back beachy atmosphere compliments the area perfectly. If you are looking for a great local coffee shop, not too far from the Siesta beaches, then LeLu is sure to please.
Food
Although LeLu is primary a coffee shop, they also offer a breakfast menu featuring omelets, specialty pancakes, and breakfast sandwiches. They even have a Vegan special consisting of black beans and rice, topped with salsa, and served with grilled Cuban bread.
The majority of the coffee comes from local Florida roasters, and some of it is organic. Any type of espresso or iced coffee drink can be made to order. If you need a substitute for dairy milk, they conveniently have it available. Specialty drinks include an Island Coconut Mocha, Orange Dreamsickle, and the CoCo-CoCoBanana.
We enjoyed the Americano, which was perfectly brewed. Prices are very affordable, with a basic cup of house coffee available for only $1.50. A specialty drink like an Americano will only run a few bucks.
If coffee is not your thing, you can also order a fruit smoothie.
Service
Service was friendly and quick. Our Americanos were presented in a nice mug, which is always a bonus over coffee shops that use paper cups.
Atmosphere
The eclectic atmosphere is what make LeLu worth a stop. Instead of a standard business coffee shop, treat yourself to a cozy, beach inspired setting (surfboards on the wall, palm trees, outdoor seating). You will find plenty of cozy couches and board games so you can enjoy your coffee in a non-rushed, laid-back setting.
