Heartline Cafe
Heartline is one of my favorite breakfast restaurants in Sedona. Offering a pretty outdoor patio, locally sourced food, friendly service, and affordable pricing, you really can't go wrong when choosing Heartline.
This cozy, casual cafe is the perfect place to refuel with a delicious breakfast after a morning out exploring Sedona's gorgeous trails.
Food
Heartline opened over 25 years ago, and is still one of the local favorites to this day. At Heartline, you are not overcharged or skimped on portions simply because of the touristy location. While many of the Uptown Sedona restaurants take advantage of tourists with absurd pricing and an over cramped setting, Heartline is not only a better value, but also offers a cozier, more local dining atmosphere.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served, although winter hours vary. Breakfast is the best time to visit as you can take advantage of the mild temperatures by sitting outside in the lovely garden patio. The omelets and breakfast wraps are both great, plus they use local eggs and produce which is always a bonus.
Lots of gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian items are found on the menu, so even picky eaters should be able to find something!
They serve the most delicious dark roast coffee, and it's organic too! I could have sat here all morning enjoying cup after cup.
Service
It took about 10 minutes or so for a waiter to acknowledge that we were sitting outside. After that, service was friendly and attentive.
Atmosphere
The relaxed, heavily treed outdoor dining area is the ideal place to escape Sedona's harsh heat for an hour or 2 (especially the case come summer!). Enjoy the shady setting and linger for a bit over a healthy breakfast and rich cup of coffee: the perfect treat after an energizing workout!
Final Remarks
I would recommend Heartline Cafe to any health conscious diner seeking a non-touristy Sedona breakfast experience. For a healthy breakfast with quality ingredients, served by attentive staff, in a laid-back setting, Heartline is the way to go.
